The ideal individual would have 5+ years of experience conducting / managing residential purchasing activities, with at least 5 years dedicated to materials management responsibilities for projects. Experienced with managing cost estimates, material selections, budgets, schedules, work proposals and contracts related to custom homes and/or production residential developments.
The Purchasing Agent / Manager would be assuming the organizations regional lead role as to directing activities for the development of preconstruction materials, costs estimates / work schedules and proposals related to the construction of luxury, single family, residential homes up to $6 Million in scope. Must have the skills and abilities to assess contractor capabilities, evaluation building products, material suppliers, review plans, perform takeoffs, value engineer, develop estimates, construction schedules and proposals on a regional basis.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration and/or related industry construction purchasing experience. Must have strong verbal and written communication abilities. Proficiency with MS Office Suite and MS Project required.
