Job Description

Webuild ( ) is seeking a Geologist to oversee the management of mineral resources related to near mine surface and underground exploration activities on one of the largest active mines in the United States.

The ideal Geologist / Mineral Resource Manager would have 10+ years of demonstrated experience in near mine development (Minex) on tenements surrounding an active mining camp, concurrent with underground and open pit mine geology. Responsible for resource modeling, work program development, geology management, mining plan life cycles, estimation, mine grade control practices and conformance with all regulatory practices.

The Geologist / Mineral Resource Manager will be the most senior Geologist on site and will be part of the Mine senior leadership team. Responsibilities will include all workforce management, open pit and underground geology, near mine exploration, resource/ reserve management, geological data management, compliance and financial planning for all geological activities within mine operations.

Candidates must have extensive experience with 3D correlation, wire-framing and solid modeling utilizing software, experience in applying geo-statistics to resource and grade control estimations, abilities to interpret mineral reserves, develop Minex strategies/ programs, budgets and direct consultants/ contractors in performance of geological operations.

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Engineering or related discipline. Professional Registration (PG) a plus to consideration. Must have excellent written and verbal communications abilities.

Candidates that have previously managed geological operations related to Mineral Resources will be given priority consideration.
